Injectable Fillers Reviews
"I am very conscious about some recent wrinkles that appeared around my eyes. I saw Dr. Weston last year to get his opinion for Bleph surgery. He is absolutely amazing and is so charming. He told me that I don't need any surgery, probably just some fillers or some chemical peel. I left feeling good about myself."- R.M. / Yelp / Sep 30, 2014
"I love this practice. I see Dr. Poindexter for fillers. He always does a great job and I have minimal bruising. I have gone to other doctors and had different results. I would highly recommend Dr. P for any and all of your filler needs."- J.W. / Yelp / Nov 29, 2017
"Dr. Westin, Dr. Knotts and the entire staff at the Austin Westin Center are truly exceptional at what they do. I starting attending Dr. Westin's seminars in 2010 and ever since then I've had three major procedures (one was corrective surgery from a 2003 procedure from an unrelated Doctor) and minor facial fillers done. I love the doctors here because they are just honest, easy to talk to and you can tell they simply love what they do. The staff will make you feel welcomed, cared for and safe. The facility it's self is top of the line, clean, with a relaxing ambiance. When they take you to the surgery center it's a fully functional hospital and staff. Most importantly I feel ecstatic with my results. The Doctors have my full trust, respect and loyalty for life. Love you all at the Austin Westin Center!!!"- L.H. / Yelp / Sep 10, 2015
"I'm giving dr. Christopher Knotts at the Austin Weston Center another review because he is the most amazing doctor in the most amazing person I am not an easy patient at all I I'm always changing my mind sometimes I think I know best but actually dr. Christopher Knotts knows what's best I trust him 100% he's done fillers and BOTOX for me for the last 8 months but everyone at the Austin Weston Center are so caring you could get not get better care anywhere else so if you need any plastic surgery please don't hesitate to come to the Austin Weston Center"- D.F. / Yelp / Oct 13, 2017
"I’m one of those people that highly rely on reviews but never actually write one myself, but I’m making an acception! I got under-eye filler almost a week ago by Dr Knotts and my experience was great! I have never gotten and filler or Botox before and the whole experience freaked me out (almost passed out twice!) but Dr Knotts made me feel comfortable and calm, as well as the NP. The whole process would have taken less than 5 minutes if we didn’t have to pause for me to lay down and drink ginger ale, needles are just not for me! There was very minimal pain the numbing hurt the worst and was not bad at all. The difference it makes is amazing and I had absolutely no bruising! I’ll be going back when the time comes for touch ups. Whether you are new to fillers or not I think you would be glad choosing Austin-Weston for the procedure!"- C.B. / Google / Nov 16, 2017
Types of Fillers
Our injectable fillers provide amazing results but they are all different and offer varying outcomes. Cosmetic fillers are temporary and if patients want to maintain optimal results, multiple treatments will be necessary. Some fillers like hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are also reversible and can be dissolved. Below are some of the injectable fillers we offer at Austin-Weston:
Juvéderm XC: An HA gel that is FDA-approved, Juvéderm is recommended for correcting moderate to severe facial wrinkles, deep frown lines, and folds around the nose and mouth. Results usually last 6 – 9 months. It is used throughout the face including the lips.
Juvéderm Ultra Plus: An HA filler that also contains lidocaine. This option is slightly more plumping that XC and can last longer than 9 months. It is used in similar areas of the face.
Juvéderm Voluma: This HA filler treats age-related volume loss in the mid-face, providing a smooth, natural-looking lift and restoring a youthful contour to the cheek area. Results have been known to last up to two years. This product is typically used along the bony areas of the face like the cheek bones.
Volbella: The first FDA-approved filler proven to increase lip fullness and soften the appearance of vertical lip lines for up to one year with optimal treatment. We also use this filler in other areas of the face including under the eyes in the 'tear troughs.'
Vollure: Another HA gel filler in the Juvéderm family for the treatment of laugh and marionette lines with results lasting up to 18 months.
Radiesse: An FDA-approved synthetic dermal filler that reduces wrinkles by stimulating the body to produce new collagen. Unlike other dermal fillers, Radiesse also stimulates your body to produce new collagen, so you’ll continue to look more youthful and attractive over time. This filler is not an HA and thus not reversible.
Restylane Lyft: This HA filler is used to augment cheeks for a more full cheekbone area that lifts the lower face.
Restylane Defyne and Refyne: These fillers are used around the mouth to erase lines. These are HA fillers.
Belotero: Specifically designed to integrate into your skin and mold to your distinct facial contours. By adapting to the individuality of your skin, it softens lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth for a smooth look that is uniquely you. Results last for 4 – 6 months and this is a reversible agent.
Bellafill: A dermal filler that is used to address nasolabial folders or smile lines. Bellafill offers long-lasting results that have been known to last up to five years. For long-lasting results, the filler must be injected in 4-5 concurrent sessions and it is not reversible.
Kybella: While not a filler, Kybella is an injectible used to melt fat beneath the chin. This is usually done in several sessions spaced out by 4-6 weeks.
What to Expect
Cosmetic injectables, or dermal fillers, are injected just under the surface of the skin to achieve natural-looking results. During your initial consultation, one of our practitioners will have you make a series of facial expressions to determine the points of injection. Your results will vary depending on the type of injectable you receive. However, the most common side effects are mild redness and/or swelling. Bruising is also possible on a case by case basis.
