Sculptra Aesthetic is an injectable made from poly-L-lactic acid that can be used in the face and also other areas such as the buttocks. The filler is non-reversible and requires multiple treatments to get a modest amount of plumping to the buttocks area. This treatment is generally reserved for those patients that can not have a regular Brazilian Butt Lift with fat grafting because they do not have the fat available for grafting or because they do not want the downtime of surgery. The results of Sculptra Butt Lift can last several years.
To set up a cosmetic consultation with one our of plastic surgeons, call Austin-Weston, The Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Reston, VA.
Sculptra is administered during an in-office appointment that typically takes about 30 minutes. The injection treatment, including the dosage and injection location, is tailored during the procedure to fulfill the patient’s specific needs. The injection is given through a syringe and localized to flat areas of the buttocks. The procedure itself is not painful but there is some pain afterward and some patients may benefit from pain medications for a couple of days after injection. For the best results, the average patient is recommended to have at least 3 injection series over a few months.
"Austin-Weston is amazing. My first experience with them was in 2007 when I had a life-changing breast reduction. I healed quickly, had minimal scarring and was able to finally buy a shirt that buttoned within weeks of the surgery. 10 years later, I'm still thrilled with the results. For the past year, I've been seeing Savannah for laser hair removal of some hair in undesirable places. Each time, Savannah is incredibly nice and gentle... And there's a noticeable difference each time. After 6 full sessions and a few touch ups, you can't even tell! And after 30 years on this earth, she informed me that I did not have oily skin and switched me over to an Austin-Weston moisturizer that has greatly improved my complexion and made my skin look so much better! The hair removal has greatly improved my confidence and I'm so excited about the results!"- N.C. / Yelp / Dec 11, 2017

What to Expect
Immediately following a Sculptra injection, there will be some mild swelling and redness at the injection site. This swelling resides over the first few days to weeks and the body then begins making collagen in the region. Injections are repeated at 4-6 week intervals to maximize volume.
Sculptra Butt Lift is recommended for patients who do not have enough fat to have a regular Brazillian Butt Lift, consisting of doing liposuction to one area and then grafting the fat to the buttocks region.
Goodbye FLAT BUTTOCKS
Sculptra is not FDA-approved for use in the buttocks but our surgeons have ample experience using the product in the face and also doing Brazilian Butt Lifts. Using Sculptra in the buttocks is the perfect marriage of the technique and skills that only a plastic surgeon possesses. The poly-L-lactic acid formula helps to stimulate collagen production for a more plump and lifted appearance. If you want to discuss with one of our surgeons to find out if you are a candidate, call our Reston, VA office today.
