SculpSure™ Overview: Get a Bikini Body without Surgery

Are you fit and toned but struggle with stubborn areas of unwanted fat? Whether it is a little belly fat or a bit of extra “love” on those handles, SculpSure is a nonsurgical solution to achieve a slimmer silhouette.

SculpSure uses a hyper-thermic laser to specifically target fat cells almost anywhere on the body. This innovative procedure uses up to four applicators about the size of a cell phone, placed on top of the skin. Through these applicators, the targeted areas are taken through a cycle of heating and cooling, killing the fat cells under the surface. It takes two to four sessions, on average, to complete the treatment.

SculpSure only takes about 25 minutes to perform and does not require any anesthesia. In a single session, up to four areas can be treated to reduce the appearance of fat. There is no downtime associated with SculpSure. Patients can go on about their day.

You Should Know: Results of SculpSure™ Are 24% as Effective as Liposuction

SculpSure is not recommended for patients with loose skin or large fat deposits. It is important to understand what results are achievable with this procedure. Unrealistic expectations can lead to unhappy patients! Be clear with your doctor during consultation about exactly how you want to look and be open to the options recommended. If surgery is not for you and liposuction is off the table, just be aware that results of SculpSure are limited.

Results Require Patience

Once the fat cells die, it takes about six weeks for the body to naturally process the unwanted fat. Patients should have at least two treatments, six weeks apart to have an optimal result and a slimmer and tighter contour. After the procedure, patients can resume their normal activities, but strenuous exercise should be avoided for one or two days. While the procedure does not take long, results may take several months to fully develop. The best part is, results last!

How Much Will It Cost?

The cost of SculpSure in Reston, VA, at Austin-Weston is $1,000–$4,000, depending upon the number of treatments. Unlike liposuction, this procedure does not require anesthesia fees, OR fees, postop garments or post-op appointments. If you’re not happy with the results of SculpSure, Austin-Weston allows for some costs of the procedure to be applied toward fees for liposuction.

Selecting the Practitioner

At Austin-Weston, The Center for Cosmetic Surgery, we know you have options for selecting a skilled and trusted surgeon to enhance your look. We hope our other blog articles are a beneficial resource for you. You can also compare real patient results with those of other plastic surgeons across Northern Virginia and Washington DC and view testimonial videos on our website. We believe our results speak for themselves.

In addition to judging results for yourself, make sure to verify that your surgeon has proper credentials. All of the surgeons at Austin-Westin are by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), which is the only plastic surgery board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). Beware of surgeons with certifications that may sound official, but who have no credible board recognition and who make promises beyond what they can realistically deliver. Thorough research is essential in the selection of a plastic surgeon and practice you can trust.

If you live in the Northern Virginia or Washington DC area and are ready to reclaim your confidence, contact us to schedule a complimentary consultation at (703) 893-6168 or submit a form online to request an appointment.
