Recovery: Patients may experience light swelling and bruising, and it should only last about a week. Some of the fat will be absorbed, however, about ¹/₃ to ¹/₂ should remain in your face. Patients are asked not to sleep on the area where the fat was placed the first few weeks following their surgery.
