Fat injections are done by a Fat Transfer utilizing liposuction. This can be done under anesthesia or under local sedation. Often times, patients may consider transferring fat to their face while undergoing traditional liposuction on their body.

Fat Injection Recovery

Fat injection patients may experience light swelling and bruising, and it should only last about a week. Some of the fat will be absorbed, however, about ¹/₃ to ¹/₂ should remain in your face. Patients whom have had fat injections are asked not to sleep on the area where the fat was placed the first few weeks following their surgery.
