"Because it was the most competitive field at the time, I thought it must be the best. Finally, I actually spent some time on an ophthalmology rotation and hated it." It was a "fill in" rotation with a local plastic surgeon in Indianapolis that unveiled the area of medicine that became his passion.
\n"I loved the variety of operations and the uniqueness of each, but probably more important, I really enjoyed the patients - before and after the operations," he states.
\nThe uniqueness of each case and every individual truly plays into Dr. Poindexter's strong suites of problem solving, aesthetic focus and communication.
\nBoard Certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1999 shortly after going into practice, Dr. Byron Poindexter's focus with cosmetic surgery is in providing patients beautiful, balanced and natural results.
