In 1978, Dr. Austin established a cosmetic surgery practice in the Washington DC area. Board-Certified, he had already developed a successful nine-year practice of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Pittsburgh. Dr. Austin became the first Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in the entire Washington Metropolitan area to limit his practice exclusively to cosmetic surgery. His vision for the practice remains today very much the same as it did in the beginning: to provide consistently excellent cosmetic surgical recommendations and results in a manner that best supports the goals of the patient.
